Editorial Policy

This page explains how Business Boardroom researches, writes, checks and updates its articles, how we decide which tools to feature and how we deal with mistakes. We publish it so you can judge for yourself how much to trust what you read here.

Who writes and edits the content

Business Boardroom is written and edited by Amer Foster, who is also the owner of the site. Every article is published under the author’s name, and there are no invented writers or made-up credentials on this site. You can learn more about the site on our about page.

What we cover

We write about business ideas, starting an online business, and the AI tools and software that small business owners use. We aim to cover topics that readers actually search for and that we can handle responsibly. When a topic needs a licensed professional, such as detailed tax, legal or investment questions, we explain the basics and say clearly that you should ask an expert.

How we research an article

We begin with the question the reader is trying to answer. Then we gather information from sources that can be checked, such as:

  • the official website, pricing page, documentation and help center of each product;
  • government and regulator websites for rules and licenses;
  • public statistics and reports, with the source named;
  • what other well-regarded publications and real users say about a product, to spot common problems;
  • a review of what already ranks for the topic, so that we cover the questions readers have and fill gaps that existing articles leave open.

We do not copy other sites. We write our own explanations and add the practical detail that readers are usually missing.

How we choose and compare tools

When an article compares or recommends tools, we look at the same questions for each one:

  • What does it actually do, and what is it best at?
  • What does it cost, and is there a free plan or free trial?
  • How easy is it to start using, for someone who is not technical?
  • What are the limits, such as usage caps, missing features or regional restrictions?
  • What support and documentation does the provider offer?
  • Who is it a good fit for, and who should look elsewhere?

Whether a product has an affiliate program is not one of the criteria. How we are paid, and how we keep it from affecting our writing, is explained on our affiliate disclosure page.

How we write about business ideas

When we describe a business idea, we try to say what it costs to start, what skills it needs, how people usually find customers and what the common problems are. We give cost figures as ranges and say where they come from. We do not promise income, and we do not describe a result as typical unless the evidence shows that it is. Our disclaimer explains the limits of this kind of information.

How we use AI

AI tools may assist with research, outlines and first drafts at Business Boardroom. AI does not publish anything on its own. Every article is read, fact-checked against the sources described above and edited by the author before it goes live, and the author is responsible for what appears on the site. We do not publish AI-generated images or text that pretend to be a real person, a real customer or a real experience.

How we check facts

Before an article goes live, we check the points that are easy to get wrong and that matter most to readers: prices and plan details, feature claims, figures and statistics, names and spellings, and links. We prefer primary sources, such as the provider’s own website, over second-hand claims. If we cannot confirm something, we leave it out or we say that it is unconfirmed.

How we keep articles up to date

Prices, features and rules change, especially for AI tools. We review articles on a regular basis and update them when we learn that something has changed. Where an article is updated in a meaningful way, we show the date of the update. Because we cannot watch every product at every moment, we still recommend that you check the latest details on the provider’s own website before you buy.

Corrections

We make mistakes sometimes. If you find one, please tell us through the contact page, with the address of the page and the source for the correct information. We will check it and fix confirmed errors quickly. When a correction changes something important, such as a price, a recommendation or a conclusion, we add a short note to the article that says what was changed.

Independence and conflicts of interest

Business Boardroom earns money through affiliate commissions and may show advertising. We do not accept payment to change a recommendation or a ranking. If a company provides a free account or product for us to test, we say so. If content is ever sponsored, we label it clearly. If we have any other relationship with a company that could affect how a reader sees our coverage, we disclose it in the article.

Comments and reader feedback

We welcome comments and messages from readers. We may edit or remove comments that are spam, abusive, off-topic or unlawful, as described in our terms of use. Reader feedback often leads to improvements, and we use it when it helps to make an article more accurate or more useful.
